Merry Christmas! Hardin-Simmons University offices will close on Thursday, December 19, 2024, and reopen on Monday, January 6, 2025.

December Commencement Awards

During the 2024 winter commencement ceremonies, three graduates were recognized for their exemplary performance.

December Graduation Spotlight: Landry French

Hardin-Simmons University is proud to congratulate Landry French, age 23, on graduating this December with a bachelor’s degree in the arts, majoring in English with a psychology minor. He works both as an English/writing tutor for HSU’s Academic Center for Enrichment (ACE) program and as a student writer for the HSU Marketing Department. 

December Graduation Spotlight: Courtney Govea

Hardin-Simmons University proudly congratulates Courtney Govea, age 22, on her upcoming graduation. This month, Courtney will earn her bachelor’s degree in graphic design and has spent her senior year working in HSU’s department of Media Services.  

December Graduation Spotlight: Mark Denison

From an early age, Mark Denison’s love for sports was evident. Determined to turn that passion into a career, he enrolled at Hardin-Simmons University (HSU), choosing to major in Fitness, Recreation, and Sports Management, laying a solid foundation for his future in what he thought would be coaching.
